Motto: "Your best ability is availability."
My previous roles involved working as a risk manager, then as a fraud banker helping to prevent fraud before it happened, and most recently as an account executive helping customers realize their goals to achieve financial success. In each of these positions, I found meaning and enjoyment in helping people solve problems. I’ve always been curious about real estate since growing up around friends and family who are real estate agents themselves. One thing about lending and real estate that really grabs my attention is seeing someone start with a goal, become educated in the homebuying journey, and eventually obtaining that goal that they worked so hard for. To be able to know that I assisted them through the often complicated and tricky homeownership process is incredibly fulfilling.
Why Options Financial Residential Mortgage?
Options takes the educational approach when helping clients finance their homes. To me it shows that they are a company that cares about the client and really stands behind their process.
What would you say is the most fulfilling part of what you do?
As a CEM, I focus on building a connection and trust with the customer. I treat every client with the same care and respect no matter what stage they are in when purchasing a home. I would also emphasize that I’m a partner and resource for the client in this process. My motivation comes from helping people. Helping people has always been part of what I do personally and professionally. Being able to observe someone start with a goal and then go through the ups and downs in the process and finally seeing them reach that goal is rewarding for me.
How would you describe the role of education in the process?
I believe that client education builds confidence that preludes success. My role is to provide knowledge in the process, help clients see all of their options, and feel comfortable when it is time for them to make that decision.
When you’re not working, what are some of your favorite pastimes?
I like to stay active such as running, hiking, geocaching with my son, exploring parts of Oregon, paddle boarding, anything that I can do outside.
