I wanted to leverage my degree in finance but avoid a typical corporate job. Being a loan officer provided me a path to combine my passion for helping people obtain their goals with my education and interest in finance. Prior to lending I also worked in a real estate-related position that showed me the importance of homeownership and the drive to help others. I enjoy meeting people, learning their stories, and sharing what I know to help them succeed.

The Options Financial team is highly focused on the client’s success, which in turn brings success to myself and the team. What would you say is the most fulfilling part of what you do?

Helping people through the lending process and navigating them through the huge decision of buying a home.

How would you describe the role of education in the process?

Success is in the details. My objective is to help a client make a completely informed buying decision with clear communication from end to end. My mix of practical experience and education helps me articulate the mortgage process in a really approachable way.

I carefully listen to my client’s story to better understand their endeavors, which in turn helps me put my client’s in a mortgage that’s tailored for their goals and dreams.

When you’re not working, what are some of your favorite pastimes?

When not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and husky. Together we visit local restaurants and breweries, snowboard, and go hiking on Mt. Hood and the coast. Golf is a summer hobby as well. I enjoy watching my alma matter The Ohio State University, Atlanta Braves Baseball, Tennessee Titans Football, and Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey.
