After going through the process of purchasing my own home I found my skills, quick learning, attention to detail, and personality matched well with this industry. What clicked for me was how much I understood about the homebuying process regardless of my experience working in the lending industry. After being a homemaker for 17 years to three wonderful children I felt that if I was going to start somewhere on a career path this was the road I should be taking.
Why Options Financial Residential Mortgage?
Having been a client with Options Financial I have a unique perspective for both sides of the process which I believe helps both our clients and staff alike. The Options Financial team is like family, and since I’ve been working for my family for 17 years, when the opportunity to possibly be a part of the Options Financial team arose I was excited to join another culture that has the same supportive environment.
What would you say is the most fulfilling part of what you do?
I have spent much of my life supporting others including a child with special needs, my mom, and my autistic brother. I’m known for giving and being helpful so to be able to bring that to the table in a work environment is very fulfilling for me. I have spent much of my time reaching out and working with outside resources (SSA, Dept. of Housing, SNAP, Medicare, Medicaid, service brokerages, etc) to support my family members and their needs. Doing the same for the Options team to help clients with their mortgage needs is very fitting for my experience.
When you’re not working, what are some of your favorite pastimes?
Camping, being with my kids and dogs
