Motto: “Less is more.”
My passion is building sustainable communities; I’ve been privileged to do that previously through my degree in Small Business Management, retail banking, and now as a Loan Solutions Officer and Production Coordinator for Options Financial. I’m fanatical about the power of information; a problem solver by nature I can make a difference by listening to the short and long term goals of my clients, and find solutions that meet those needs.
Why Options Financial Residential Mortgage?
Options Financial knows what it means to be a responsible business in a community supporting financial success through homeownership; always putting clients first. There’s a rare alignment of mission and vision with actions and deeds that are embedded in the company. As long as it fits into that vision I know I always have support in doing right by each and every client, and it helps to have another creative thinker nearby to brainstorm innovative solutions when needed. We all are passionate about what we do; it's a great culture!
What would you say is the most fulfilling part of what you do?
My intention is to build sustainability for others and help put individuals and families in a positive financial position that frees and supports them in their pursuit of their real passions and dreams. The most fulfilling moment for me is when a client tells me all the great things they are doing in their life; to me, that means their mortgage isn't a source of stress or concern, but a tool that's truly helping them reach their goals.
I worked with clients that refinanced to get equity out so they could adopt. Clients that want a specific mortgage payment because it allows them to give their daughter piano and dance lessons and go on fishing trips — this is what matters. To be entrusted with these profound life choices is simultaneously humbling and fulfilling.
How would you describe the role of education in the process?
As much as I get to know any given client, only the individuals themselves know what's going to be the best decision for them. Education is imperative, from the way the lending world operates to the types of loans available, or the best choices to position you for success. I always have time to explore and explain all options, discuss pro's and con’s, and walk clients through making positive decisions for themselves.
When you’re NOT working, what are some of your favorite pastimes?
When I’m not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, taking yoga classes, gardening and working on my 1940's home. I like exploring and supporting my neighborhood and other communities around the Portland Metro area. In addition, I love reading non-fiction and watching football and hockey.
At Options Financial Residential Mortgage, we believe in giving first.
